Pirates also Place a claim on Overbay. Release JD Durbin if successful I'll repost the process for you as well Jim. Geez, it's like you and Brad have not been in this league longer than most everyone. Make sure you check back after Rich records the move. When Rich post the move as recorded on the board, the player is then on waivers for 24 hours from that point. Rich tends not to record moves over the weekends, so Overbay will probably not go on waivers till Monday A.M., then you'll have 24 hours to claim him.

A little late on this, sorry. Overbay is on waivers starting now, Angels and Pirates claims will be considered valid and he will be awarded at the end of his 24 hour period to the highest claim (note the waiver order has changed since the end of the season, check it out)
Transactions are complete and in the database.

Oakland will make a claim on Overbay and release no one as i am under the roster limit. Wouldn't this be in violation of the 40 +5 rule? This would set the WS roster at 41 +4. I would think that in order to sign Fuld, a player from the 40 man roster should be dropped. You are correct - I apologize and release Lyle Overbay as well. Release both please.

The White Sox add Reid Santos, P - needs to be created:
Santos, 25, pitched this season at AA Akron where he went 8-3 with 2 saves and a 2.72 ERA in 39 games/10 starts (96.0IP, 80H, 29ER, 30BB, 85K). The southpaw limited Eastern League hitters to a .223 (80-358) batting average, including a mark of .216 (19-88 ) by left-handed hitters and a .205 (31-151) average with runners on base. He also posted a 2.08 ERA (8.2IP, 2ER) in 4 Eastern League playoff games. Santos, a native of Hawaii, was the Tribe’s 13th round pick in the 2002 First-Year Player Draft out of Saddleback (CA) Junior College. He was added to the Indains 40 man roster on November 19th ...

For clarity, you have 5 draft slots going into the draft. You are just 3 over the 40 man limit. Semantics I know but I want everyone to be clear.
