SP Daniel Cabrera SP Radhames Liz OF Seth Smith for OF Juan Pierre SP Jeremy Sowers OF Elijah Dukes This trade is approved and in the database. You make your trades and I'll make mine. I have been offering Pierre for a while as I received Willits and like his chances next year a lot better then Pierre's. Smith rakes against RHP and is currently hitting .314/.383./.505 at AAA (http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?n=Seth%20Smith&pos=CF&sid=milb&t=p_pbp&pid=452234). I am sure he will project much better then Dukes next year - if Dukes even plays! Sowers SIMs well this season but he has a bust in real life and Cabrera will be an excellent number 5 SP for the IYFBL White Sox next season. Liz (http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?n=Radhames%20Liz&pos=P&sid=milb&t=p_pbp&pid=467785) has 141 K's at AA and will be an excellent RH set-up guy next year and probably replace Gagne the year after Do your friggin' homework before you show your ignorance!

All your stats and bullnuts arguements are based off of Minor league baseball. Come and argue with me, when those guys post those kind of numbers against the real players. Lol minor league stats, thats hilarious.

What part was so bad?
Sowers = Cabrera (Both young, both inconsistant. Cabrera has better stuff, Sowers should fall into the Chuck James mold in the future).
Liz = Pierre (Pierre hasn't been very good for LAD, and with a .320 OBP?)..Liz should see time in September in Baltimore.
Dukes = Smith (Dukes has very little value right now if you ask me. It's not 2005 anymore).
From a win-now standpoint, Seattle has a slight edge, but next season, it could be the opposite.

Yes considering this is a win now league, thats the whole frickin point! But a few of you saps out there, decided it was OK to wait until 2010 to win a d**n game. So Seattle gave up basically no one that had any value this year except for Cabrera, who still is a number four or five. Mariners made a hell of a deal, and i commend him for that. If the White Sox wants to throw his chances and for that matter everyone elses in the American League West, then so be it. I can dismantle a team and ruin someone elses chances of winning a division just as good as he can. So like I said if Cleveland, Toronto, Braves, Cubs, Giants or Dodgers are seriously considering winning THIS YEAR, they should be giving me a call, cause i am done this year.

There is nothing wrong with this trade. Jag and Jim are both good GMs who know what they are doing and have integrity. Facts: 1. Pierre, Sowers and Dukes will all project much less next year than this year. 2. Cabrera, Smith and Liz will all project much better next year. 3. Cabrera, Smith and Liz will all project better next year than Pierre, Sowers and Dukes (if I'm wrong, well I guess you can say I told you so after the 2008 disc comes out). Yes, this is a win-now league. But you have to understand that for some teams, 2008 IS now. What's the Sox supposed to do, hold onto those three guys to try to finish in 4th instead of 5th, and then having a worse team next year based on their declining projections? And even then, if he tries to trade them after the season they will have MUCH less value. The Sox did a good job on maximizing his return while the players still have any kind of value. Well done Sox. I've said this before - if anyone feels there are lopsided trades being done by incompetent owners, be a predator and try to fleece those GMs instead of complaining about every deal like you are a victim.

I hope the Commissioner takes this post seriously. I read it as an owner soliciting unethical trades, or at the very least is open to making trades without the best interest of his previously stated goals of always playing for now. I won't suggest GM's cannot change their strategy of running their team, and I'm not suggesting Oakland be barred from making trades, but any trades involving Oakland should be under extra scrutiny. Just my opinion.

I am not going to destroy my team, but whatever it takes for me to get a top five pick next year i am going to do. My starters needed a break anyway. .
