couldn't resist the 14 K's, eh. 13 K's, but a Mariner prospect, did have 14 K's yesterday. Jake Wild struck out 14 in eight innings to lead the Mariners to the Arizona League title with an 8-5 win over the Giants in the one-game championship series. Wild dominated the Giants, but the Giants scored four runs in the ninth to make it interesting. |

Orioles get: OF Ryan Church RP Peter Moylan SP Leo Nunez M's get: OF Juan Encarnacion RP Jonathan Sanchez This trade is approved and in the database. Seriously unlucky! Well, if he can't play for me the rest of the season, and the trade deadline has passed, you guys can have him for free. The M's release: Juan Encarnacion. Juan Encarnacion will miss the rest of the season after suffering multiple fractures of his left eye socket when he was hit by a foul ball on Friday.pirates rescind waiver request for Encarncion. BTW, My understanding of the rules is that Encarncion is still eligible in our league. SL has not officially put him on the DL. He is eligible until they do. Given this is September and they do not need the roster space, it is possible that SL will not disable him. Thank You Jim, if this is this case (which makes sense), then I would like to keep Juan, and play him. This brings up a queation. If the Cardinals were to go to the post season, they would "DL" Encarnacion, and I would not get to use him for our playoffs, right? Now, say the Cards don't make the playoffs, and Encarnacion never has to get "DL'd", then I GET to use him, right? |
